1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: name, email, phone number, profile information, and payment details. We also collect device information, location data (with permission), usage data, and communication logs between users and riders.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide our delivery and financial services, process payments, send OTP verifications, enable real-time tracking, send notifications, improve our platform, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Location Data
We collect location data from riders and users to enable our delivery services. For riders, we collect location data continuously while the app is in use and in the background when the rider has an active or assigned delivery. This background location access is necessary to provide real-time tracking to users, calculate accurate delivery routes, and confirm successful deliveries. Riders are notified within the app that background location is active during a delivery session and can end the session at any time. For users, we only collect location when they initiate a delivery estimate or create a delivery request — we do not continuously track users. Users can see their assigned rider's live location on the map during an active delivery.
4. Financial Data
Payment card information is processed and stored by our third-party providers (Paystack). Cendpadi does not store card numbers. We store transaction records for accounting and legal compliance purposes.
5. Data Sharing
We share your data with: riders (name, phone for delivery purposes), payment processors (Monnify, Paystack), SMS providers (Termii), push notification services (Firebase), and cloud infrastructure providers. We do not sell your personal data.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including JWT authentication, encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and regular security audits. No system is 100% secure; we encourage users to use strong credentials.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and data, opt out of marketing communications, and withdraw consent for location tracking at any time.
8. Data Retention
We retain account data while your account is active. Transaction records are kept for 7 years for tax compliance. Delivery records are retained for 2 years. You can request account deletion by contacting cendpadi@gmail.com.
