Prohibited Items

The following items may not be sent through the Cendpadi platform under any circumstances. Senders found to be transporting prohibited items will have their account permanently deactivated, forfeit any paid fees, and may be reported to law enforcement authorities.

Illegal & Controlled Substances

  • Hard drugs and narcotic substances of any kind (cocaine, heroin, tramadol abuse, codeine abuse, etc.)
  • Cannabis (marijuana, weed, shayo) and any cannabis-derived products
  • Prescription medications not belonging to the named recipient
  • Any substance classified as a controlled drug under Nigerian law
  • Counterfeit or unregistered pharmaceutical products

Weapons & Dangerous Items

  • Firearms, pistols, rifles, and any component parts or ammunition
  • Knives, machetes, or bladed weapons intended to cause harm
  • Explosives, bombs, grenades, or replica explosive devices
  • Fireworks and pyrotechnics of any kind
  • Toxic, chemical, or biological agents
  • Radioactive materials

Hazardous & Flammable Materials

  • Flammable liquids (petrol, kerosene, paint thinner, etc.) in quantities exceeding what can be safely transported
  • Compressed gases (propane, oxygen cylinders, CO2)
  • Hazardous waste or biohazardous materials
  • Corrosive chemicals or acids
  • Poisons or toxic substances not properly sealed and labelled

Restricted Financial & High-Value Items

  • Cash, banknotes, or negotiable instruments (cheques, money orders)
  • Credit cards, debit cards, or banking tokens
  • Raw gold, silver, platinum, or precious metals in bulk form
  • Unset precious stones or industrial diamonds
  • Watches and jewellery exceeding ₦500,000 in value without prior arrangement
  • Works of art, antiques, or collectibles of exceptional value without prior declaration

Animals & Human Remains

  • Live animals of any kind
  • Animal skins, ivory, or wildlife products regulated under Nigerian law
  • Human remains, cremated remains, fetal remains, or human body parts

Alcohol, Tobacco & Age-Restricted Goods

  • Alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, spirits, ogogoro, etc.)
  • Tobacco products, cigarettes, cigars
  • E-cigarettes, vape pens, and electronic nicotine delivery systems

Other Prohibited Items

  • Pornographic or sexually explicit materials
  • Stolen property or items of unknown or suspicious origin
  • Pirated software, counterfeit goods, or copyright-infringing materials
  • SIM cards or telecommunication equipment intended for fraudulent use
  • Plants and agricultural produce that require government phytosanitary permits without the permit
  • Any item banned under Nigerian federal or state law
  • Oversized or overweight items individually exceeding 50 kg or 2 metres in any dimension without prior arrangement

Packaging & Inspection

Cendpadi encourages senders to leave packages accessible so that riders may inspect contents before accepting a delivery. Riders are never obligated to transport anything they have not been permitted to inspect, and may cancel a delivery without penalty if they suspect prohibited items are present.
